It is with great pride and joy that we inform you that participation for the 11th Societe Generale Bank Cyprus “ Run with Us” 2018 has exceeded all expectations. The response of the running community and the corporate awareness has been overwhelming, and particularly touching, with 50% more participants than last year. The safety of all runners and the smooth execution of the race is of great importance to us, and therefore, there are unfortunately no more spaces available. Going forward and in light of the increase in interest, the club will do its utmost to ensure it can meet the expectations of upcoming races.

Με ιδιαίτερη χαρά και περηφάνια θα θέλαμε να ενημερώσουμε ότι οι συμμετοχές στον 11o Societe Generale Bank Cyprus “Run with Us” 2018 έχουν ξεπεράσει κάθε προσδοκία. Η ανταπόκριση του κοινού και της εταιρικής ευαισθητοποίησης είναι ιδιαίτερα συγκινητική, καθώς οι αιτήσεις συμμετοχής είναι κατά 50% περισσότερες από τις περσινές.  Πρώτιστη σημασία για εμάς έχει η ασφάλεια των συμμετεχόντων και η ομαλή διεξαγωγή του αγώνα και ως εκ τούτου δυστυχώς δεν υπάρχουν διαθέσιμες άλλες θέσεις. Λαμβάνοντας υπόψη το αυξημένο ενδιαφέρον του κοινού θα φροντίσουμε ώστε οι επόμενοι αγώνες να συνεχίσουν να ανταποκρινονταί στις προσδοκίες περισσότερων δρομέων.

Με μεγάλη μας χαρά σας ανακοινώνουμε ότι στα πλαίσια του 11ου Societe Generale Bank Cyprus «Run with Us» 10km και 5km στις 02/12/2018 στο Εθνικό Πάρκο Αθαλάσσας, το Σωματείο μας θα φιλοξενήσει και θα διευθύνει τεχνικά τον αγώνα 7,7km Race του QuantumNicosia Marathon 2018 - ο οποίος διοργανώνεται από το Ίδρυμα Αθανάσιος Κτωρίδης. Ο συμβολικός αυτός αγώνας είναι αφιερωμένος στον αλτρουιστή αθλητή και μαραθωνοδρόμο Στέλιο Κυριακίδη. Ο Κυριακίδης, με καταγωγή από το χωρίο Στατός στην Πάφο, χάρισε μέσα από την νίκη του στον Μαραθώνιο της Βοστώνης το 1946, ελπίδα στον δοκιμασμένο από την γερμανική κατοχή ελληνικό λαό. 

Η διοργάνωση τελεί υπό την αιγίδα του Δήμου Λευκωσίας και όλα τα έσοδα από την εκδήλωση θα διατεθούν σε φιλανθρωπικά ιδρύματα.

The annual Societe Generale Bank Cyprus ‘Run with Us’ for the prevention of cancer race is organized for the 11th consecutive year by Dro.Me.A Racing in cooperation with the Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF) and Yeri Municipality on Sunday 2/12/2018. The event features a 5km and a 10-km race, 800-m run for children up to the age of 14, plus a 5km Charity Corporate Run. The races will start at 10:00 am at Athalassa National Park in Nicosia (Latsia entrance, 200 m from the park entrance, near the round-about of the Nicosia General Hospital). Registrations for the 5km (for ages 15+) and 10km (for 16+ ages) may ONLY be done online via www.dromearacing.com .

The registration fee is 10 Euros for the 5km,  15 Euro for the 10km and 150 Euro for the 5km Charity Corporate Race for 20 people (for entries over 20 people the fee is set at 5 Euros for every extra person). Participants have 2 options for registration: Basic package, where for a fee of  10 Euro for the 5km or 15 for the 10km they will receive only the custom-made medal at the finish line; or the Upgraded package, where for an extra 10 Euro they will receive (in addition to the medal) the Dro.Me.A. Racing official Legea brand wind-proof jacket.

Race numbers will be available for collection on the morning of the race between 08:30-09:30am ONLY. All participants will receive a FINISHERS medal. The children’s 800m run is free of charge and registration is be done on the day of the event starting at 08:30am. Parental consent is required for those under the age of 18.

The 10-km race is dedicated in memory of Kostakis Loucaides, a former BoD member of the Cyprus Sports Organization (CSO) and former champion athlete.

The aim of the event is to promote social sports to the local society, boost sports culture and pave the way towards a more active lifestyle in an effort to prevent severe diseases such as cancer.

Major sponsor of the event is Societe Generale Bank Cyprus. Main sponsor of Dro.Me.A Racing 2018 is Cablenet. The event is supported by CSO, PASYKAF, KYKKOS and Webarts and it is placed under the auspices of KOEAS. The event is licensed by Department of Forests.
